Nappy Roots?

Yeah, Nappy Roots have plenty of talent. I'm from Louisville and they've done alot of shit here in town, everything from doing shows for the University of Louisville to helping form a hip-hop summit that will take place during the Derby. They are real people too, something alot of people don't get to see enough of nowadays. I hope their next album gets them as much recognition and fame as they want and as i think they deserve.

And "Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz" was the dopest album in 2001. I still put that in my cd player.

this is their album that should be coming out this year, but it was supposed to come out last august

Do yourself a favor and get both "Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz" and "Wooden Leather." If not classic albums, they're both VERY VERY good.

I go to school at Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, and I see Big V, Skinny, and a couple of the other members around town sometimes, since they live here... I was in Zaxby's and asked Big V when the next album was dropping and he said this summer. It's called "The Humdinger."

I never bought their albums but I loved their singles.They reminded me of the old Outkast(pre stankonia).I really like that sound.What happened to them?
