I don't use Windows often, but check in the Properties of the file (right click -> properties)... are there permissions in there? maybe your own permissions don't allow you to delete files... not sure if this will help, but it's worth a look

ctrl+alt+delete and see if that file is running in the Processes tab. If it is, close it from there and then delete it.

None of the files are running, no process or anything.. its just a video file in a folder and the file isnt even in use, neither is the folder i dont think a folder can be in use but yeah, none of the files are running and i get that error message

I'm actually getting this message for more than 1 file... its like, alot of my files. 2#:-(

right clikc...make sure none of them have security features on them...sounds like some sort of virus or spyware... try deleting the whole folder at once.. if not then go to a computer forum such as www.xclusivepc.com or www.egghead.com and ask those peoples....

lol I think you got a virus or something...I would try to boot in safe mode and delete the whole entire folder....and run a virus scan, defragment your hard disc, and check your HD for errors.

Ok. Do this. Reboot your computer to a command prompt. Then, navigate through DOS and delete it manually that way. That should do the trick. I have a file on my desktop that I cannot get off right now and I know all I have to do is that but I'm just too lazy. I'll get around to it though. I get them every now and then.

                            ^ in DOS use:

del *.* ---> to delete all files
rd nameofyourdirectory ---> to delete ur directory
