Microsoft doesn't provide POP3 server and SMPT server access to third party's except their own hotmail servers. Gmail, however, does.

So you can't get it to work, it's impossible.

Hotmail doesn't support your .net passport? That's strange.
Microsoft created the .net passport to be compatible with Hotmail and to be able to sign up with whatever e-mail address you have. For instance, I use ************@gmail.com to sign up to Microsoft's MSN service. So basically, your problem doesn't make sense.

you need to contact your ISP to get your POP/SMTP info.

Hotmail doesn't support POP/STMP delivery of email.

your .NET passport works with Hotmail .. if yours doesn't, it's probably because it's not yours and you're trying to access someone elses email account.

you can have any adress for a .net passport, which is seperatre from your hotmail account, if you have a hotmail account then it is also a .ent passport.

you can get hotmail to work with outlook if you pay for it.
