Hugo Chavez and Marxism

Although I believe Hugo Chavez is not a Marxist he has came out with many pro-Marxist and sometimes even claiming to be a Marxist, I still support his anti-imperialism. I would call him a left-wing social democrat as looking at the social and economic facts of Venezeula it is still a bourgeois country. From looking at the 20th century and even 19th, there is no road to socialism from the ballot box (i.e. peaceful socialist revolution).
