  • Bench press increase. Possible?

I weigh 135 pounds, im 5'8, pretty small guy. So as of now i'm benching 185 1 R.M. I'm going to work out extra hard this summer because I want to reach 210 by next school year (senior). As I'm already pretty maxed out in bench for my natural size, do you think it will be possible for me to gain 25 pounds bench press in that little time? i dont have a coach to ask cus im just workin at my friends house, and he doesnt know cus he dont bench that much.
I'm known to have a hottie open, I keep the shottie smokin

anything is possible if you put your mind to it...eat clean and don't drink booze and it could happen. And if it doesn't etleast you will still be shreds.

forget about 1 R.M...that won't do much for you
try to stick to the 5x5 routine...you might not be able to do 5 sets of 5 reps but just try to do as many sets as you can...

A 3 sets of 6 reps routine is said to be best for quick pure strength gains, studies have said it releases the most testosterone in the average male. You have to start really be pushin it to muscular failure on the last rep so choosing the right weight is essential, and to reach 6 reps each set you may have to strip the bar slightly

don't only stick wit benching, try an work all the supporting muscles (shoulders, triceps, etc) your bench wont go anywhere without strong tri's and shit. also make sure to add in incline and decline to hit the different parts of the pectoral muscle for better growth/weight increase

It still amazes me how Blaze3131 doesn't have a proper account here... like dude's been posting for over 2 years and his posts are still "N/A".

Try DB bench press, that'll help increase strength.
