Next Batman movie?

yea the end of Batman begins sets up the next movie to have the Joker in it, and if that one poster that is floating around is real, it looks like its gonna be pretty sweet

It's not real. There haven't been any official poster releases for the next Batman.

Damn...Why so long?

Pretty much what MusH said. Nolan is currently filming (or maybe they're finished) "The Prestige" starring Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman. He also wanted to film another movie (currently labeled as "The Exec") before jumping back into the Batman franchise.

There is also much speculation about Scarecrows return in Batman 2, or the appearance of Two-Face.

I hope Two-Face is brought in. My pick for that role would be Liev Schreiber. I think he'd make an excellent Harvey Dent/Two-Face.

^The Director has another movie he is making first, and then moves onto starting Batman 2 this fall i believe. From what i know, this movie is certain to have the Joker in it (As what is known from interviews with Bale and ending of the original) and names attatched to play are Lachy Hulme or Paul Bettany.

That is OLD news. Back before Batman Begins was an idea, someone at a studio decided it would be a good idea to have a Batman versus Superman movie. As they were writing the script, they decided to scrap the idea and create two movies: Batman Begins and Superman Returns. I heard about the Batman/Superman movie back in 2003. I don't think they have any plans to do it, as of now. Maybe they will after Batman 2 (or whatever they decide call it).

There really isn't any "news", per se. It's mostly rumors and the like. Joker is SUPPOSED to be in the movie, and as of now rumors are flying that Joker is going to be played by Lachy Hulme. That's just the rumor, though. Lachy Hulme WILL be in the movie, but nothing about who he will play.
