first of all, sorry if you were expecting a quiz, testing your knowledge of the Alien series, it was a deliberately misleading thread title.

What i need, is a simple overview of the quadrilogy. The narratives of each film and any story arcs. I don't care about spoilers, but indicate them for other members of the board.

Yes, it technically is called a tetralogy, but the genius minds at Fox decided to release the box set and call it a "Quadrilogy."

Anyway, sorry I can't really help. I haven't seen the movies in very long and I don't remember the story that well. Hopefully this site helps, though.

I know it might sound sacrilege, but I never cared for James Cameron's 'Aliens'. I think Ridley Scott did an incredible job at creating a haunting atmosphere, which was lost on the sequel. 'Alien' was slow and methodically creepy. It certainly proved that nothing on the screen can match the horror that can develop in one's imagination.

If anything they're less stupid now that i am older. when i was younger it was like 'woah big monters', now it's 'woah, a film about man-rape'.
