i woke up in the morning disoriented and wet
my head is swimming between sheets soaked with sweat
i shake my head as i get out of the bed
shake the dreams and sleep right out of my head
creep down the hall and leak into the toilet
stay quiet as a cat, cause speaking will spoil it
walk to the kitchen with my bed unmade
wash nutrigrain bars down with gatorade
lay back in the chair and read the daily paper
meanwhile friends sell drugs to make some paper
i'm not talking to anyone today, tired of their shit
i remember in junior high i admired them and shit
now i just msn and watch youtube clips
drink some ice tea and visit rapbasement
go to the corner store if i feel that way
but for real i think i actually enjoyed that day
a change of pace is just what i needed
if life was a book then i wouldnt read it
