i dont know, probably aorund 60 pounds or so. im only 165 pounds butch should be up to 180-185 in a few motnhs starte workin out again. but i have a 100 pound bag i think and at first it is very hard on your wrists. but after a while if you take it easy and build up to it, it is not too bad. except the bottom because a lot of whatever is in the bag goes to the bottom and it feels like your hitting fuckin metal. and if the bag is lighter it might be betetr for your knuckles. took me like 3 motnhs to build my knuckles up with caluses because the bag pretty much fucks them up when they are soft if you havnt punched shit.

honestly tho i would go to the store and they usually have like 5-10 bags up and jsut hit them and id buy one that isnt too hard but not too soft.

I think dosia is about right. 60 sounds about where you should be at. When you go to the store hit the bags and get the next on up from the one you can move a LITTLE. If you get it to soft you won't increase your punching power by as much as you would hitting a heavy bag. No matter what its gonna hurt your knuckles if you haven't been using one. Also purchase wraps for your wrist, and puching bag gloves (not the same as regular boxing gloves) as you might damage either wrist or hands since most ALL people don't know how to punch properly. Good luck dawg, and fuck the people talking shit about your weight, at least your working on it. Maybe KO or Jaydawg might be able to give you a little more advice.

Yeah I think Dank and Dosia pretty much covered it. Especially listen to Dank about picking up the wraps and bag gloves. The wraps you get at like WalMart are kind of short though. If you want decent wraps you might have to order them. You should get some kind of protection for your wrists / knuckles though, otherwise the risk of injuring them is pretty high.
