  • The Laws Of Wrestling

Much like the laws of physics, wrestling abides by rules which can and will never, ever be broken. Such rules include:

-A wrestler hitting the ropes comes off with a force equal or greater to the force he hit the ropes with. A wrestler running the ropes who is not acted upon by an outside force could continually run the ropes without losing momentum until the ropes cannot take the ever increasing forces.

    - When a wrestler is locked in a submission move like the sleeper hold, the ref will raise his arm and for the first two times, it will fall weakly to the floor. However when it is for a third time, it will miraciously stop half-way, then somehow give the wrestler enough momentum to make a comeback.

    - Referees or any wrestler wearing the referee uniform are the most knock-out prone people on the planet.

-If someone is forced to wrestle a mystery opponent, the mystery opponent will always be Kane

    - When a referee is not looking at you during a match, and you find yourself in a submission hold, you suddenly become the weakest individual on the planet and have the urge to tap out immediately. Don't worry though, the individual holding you in the move will soon release it to try and revive the referee, or get rid of the person distracting him, allowing you to score the pinfall seconds later.

    - If a specific style of gimmick match becomes integral to your character (I.E Inferno Match/Kane) you will always lose said match.

    - Headbutting a Samoan is a bad idea.

    - Getting married in a wrestling ring is a really, really bad idea.

    - Only during a promo or entrance may Kane or the Undertaker use their "lightning powers", not during a match where they could gain an advantage.

    - Chasing a manager around the corner of a ring on the outside is a stupid thing to do

    - Calling for a move before doing it doubles the damage of the move. Unfortunately, it also cuts the probability of you hitting the move in half.

    - Should somebody that you like be standing on the apron of the ring, and you happen to knock them down, your only recourse is to stand there apologizing until you get pinned.

    lmao good shit

for some reason the WWE doesnt try to avoid these lil details that reaccure over and over again...i mean the irish whip is what it is but other things like the sleeper hold 3 time arm lift is awful indeed.

      another one,

      - No WWE employees watch the shows they appear on. The promotion forbids anyone from watching replays of the events on the wrestlers' days off, and actually provides a unique backstage version of the show which is only seen by the wrestlers. This special broadcast of WWE programming contains no footage of heels planning to turn on faces. Wrestlers such as Ric Flair and Triple H exploited this unknown law and used it to their advantage, plotting their heel turn on Batista for several weeks, live on TV.

              - If you lose to Triple H, it's because he's that damn good, he's beaten the best the industry has to offer, he is "the game", he is the cerebral assassin, he is the greatest WWE champion of all time. If you beat Triple H, it's because he let you, and he's that damn good, he's beaten the best the industry has to offer, he is "the game", he is the cerebral assassin, he is the greatest WWE champion of all time. Also, he wants a rematch.

Most of the Laws of Wrestling are taught by trainers in wrestling schools/indie feds.

                  - If you run towards Samoa Joe in the corner, it's accepted that he's going to give you an STO-like slam. That's why it's not even worth a wrestler's time to even try to attempt a move in that situation, it's better just to run up to him and jump in the air so you can be slammed without embarassing yourself trying to hit him.

                              Here's a good one....

                              - The DDT is a basic move taught to every training wrestler, and is one of the most common moves. It's not uncommon to see the move in every match. But only when either Tommy Dreamer or Raven do it can a 3 count come from it.
