  • Rob Van Dam Gives His Notice To WWE?

    Date Added: February 05, 2007
    Story By: Daniel Pena
    source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Rob Van Dam did the clean job for Hardcore Holly at the 1/30 ECW show because he likely gave his notice to WWE officials. He had until the end of last week to give his notice or else his expiring contract would roll over under the same terms. We should know in a few days if he actually did though; it hasn't been 100% confirmed at press time. If he did, he would be able to negotiate with other companies, namely TNA. Had he not, he wouldn't be able to at least weigh his options.

What is known is that RVD has had his mind set on leaving WWE when his contract expires and that he had planned to give his notice. RVD probably giving his notice explains why he had no part in the "ECW Originals" angle on last week's show. Also, the nature of how he lost cleanly to Holly came off as a "giving notice" job. On the otherhand, CM Punk's job to Matt Striker was more of a "doghouse" job.

RVD's actual contract expires over the summer.

        "Giving your notice" job?

        "Being in the doghouse" job?

What a fustercluck. Half the guys in the WWE now wouldn't stand a chance if they had to work during the Attitude Era...

who'd blame him if he left, i read the results from the latest ecw show and it sounds like their really tryin to kill off ecw themselves. They make all their newer people beat the ecw originals in every match. I think rvd lost to burke, whoever the hell that is. Plus i read that they are just using the show to make lashley a huge star, and that the only reason ecw still comes on is cuz of the tv contract. So dont expect ecw to be on anymore once the contract is up. I personally want it done and over with, i havn't watched that shit since like the 4th or 5th show.

/\ yeah i watched it, and you right, but they could (doubt it but i live in hope) save ecw, like have the orignals battle back, get RVD the title back at wrestlmania.

but yeah it was as bad as you said D4
