The DS rules. It costs about 150 bucks Canadian or 130 bucks American. Great games for it right now are Mario 64 and Wario touch. both are excellent games. It also plays the gameboy advance games.

Great PIX of system click here

The library of gameboy games mixed with the high powered 64 bit system games are what makes this system never get old. plus its nintendo so you know its quality.
One convienient location...... somewhere in Africa.

                GDC 2005: DS Goes Online
Iwata reveals the plan to connect players to the net, including the "killer app" we've all been waiting for.
                by Craig Harris
March 10, 2005 - At the Game Developers Conference keynote speech today, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata revealed that Nintendo will be sending its Nintendo DS online wirelessly to enable gamers around the world to connect to each other in games written specifically for the protocol.

Once the service begins later this year, Nintendo DS users will be able to connect to the service wirelessly at universal Wi-Fi hot spots in use all over the world. Nintendo's in-house development team is already creating Animal Crossing DS to support global Wi-Fi connectivity.

During the speech, Iwata took part in eight-player wireless competition of Mario Kart DS with audience members to demonstrate the local-area wireless support already inherent in several Nintendo DS games. More details on the Wi-Fi service will be revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles this May.

Iwata also used his keynote speech today to reveal that shipments of DS systems have surpassed four million units in North America and in Japan in the 16 weeks on the market. That number will approach six million when the system launches in Europe this March.

During the speech, Iwata demonstrated two key Nintendo DS games to spotlight the unique gameplay aspects and non-traditional gaming of the dual screen handheld. Nintendogs was highlighted to demonstrate the voice and touch controls of interacting with realistic puppies on-screen. Electroplankton also made its debut to show the innovative use of the DS' control properties. According to Iwata: "This is designed to produce harmony, not adrenaline."

Ow and about mario kart......This game is ronna rock

                  GDC 2005: Mario Kart Impressions
The game was playable by a select few members at the Game Developers Conference.
                  by Craig Harris
March 10, 2005 - Midway through Satoru Iwata's keynote speech at Game Developers Conference in San Francisco today, the Nintendo president pulled members of the audience up on stage to get a hands on play with the latest revision of Mario Kart DS, currently in development for the Nintendo DS.

Iwata spotlighted Mario Kart DS' wireless function, which enables up to eight players to compete in the same arena without the need for any link cables. The GameCube version allowed for eight players through a local area network, but the Nintendo DS version simply hooked up using the mess-free local wireless protocol.
At the very least, Mario Kart looks amazingly smooth. It's clearly running at 60 frames a second in its current iteration, using fully 3D characters and environments. Though the one track that was spotlighted during the show was a simple figure eight with only a minor elevation change for the under/overpass, it really showed off that the classic Mario Kart gameplay has been implemented in the Nintendo DS version. Players can hop into a powerslide, and then perform a skid maneuver that will offer an extra boost of speed if pulled off correctly.

The second screen can be used for a close-up view of the players position on the track, which is extremely handy to see when an opponent has lobbed a turtle shell in their direction. This close-up can be switched to a full map on the fly so that players can see where they're located with the rest of the opponents on the track. The full map view also shows the player's rankings on the left side, along with any power-ups they're currently holding.

Currently the gameplay appears extremely close to the classic Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo, with the successful enhancements created for the Nintendo 64 version.

Mario Kart DS is scheduled for a release sometime in 2005. Hit the link below for the most current media on the game, including footage from today's demonstration

                    The nintendogs AKA puppy time
                    looks and sounds crazy!
this type of games are worth buying a DS for
                    very innovate and unique
games like yoshi touch and go, wario ware, pac pix etc you can't play on anything else and are addictivly fun.
it's true that there is a lack of really good software but it's bout to change.
if you look at all the games coming it's gon be real good.
also the touch pad functiones the same as a mouse. so expect al lot of pc'esque games coming.
the DS is highly recommended by me
                    RIP PROOF
