  • Zelda's Four Swords coming to the DS

Retail sources say Nintendo has announced a new version of its GBA-connected GameCube game.

TOKYO--Nintendo's Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures may have been a hit to those who played it, but it required up to four Game Boy Advance portables to be connected to a GameCube for multiplayer play. Because of said requirement, not too many people actually got a chance to enjoy the game to its fullest.

For gamers who have wanted to try out the game, there's good news. According to retail sources, Nintendo has announced the Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures on the DS in Japan, though no release date or details have yet surfaced. However, with the DS's wireless capabilities, the new portable probably won't be confined to the same restrictions as the GBA.

More information on the game is expected soon.

I haven't played any Zelda game since the N64, so this one's got me pretty excited. How was the Gamecube version of this game?

.....thx but this news is actually very old

i have myne for Gamecube and its fun as fuck!!!
its really fun. on the big screen you see the landscape where everyone walks and starts but when you enter a cave or something you play further on your gbascreen while the big screen is still intact. no-one can see what you're up to . It also has a fun vs-multiplayer-game.
I play with 3 of my friends whom each bring their own gba.
if this isn't revolutionary and innovate then i dont get it.
really excited about the DS version
      wireless baby!!!!

Yeah, this is going to be fucking wicked. Four Swords for Cube was amazing. My friends and I literally each bought GBA's for this game. Lucky for us the classic NES series had just came out and we were planning to get them anyways.

This is pretty old news, but the game should be fucking fun as hell. Can't wait to play wireless and with the second screen. Should be fucking cool.

I'm guessing they will do the overworld part on the top screen and then the inside areas transfer to the bottom screen. I have also read the Four Swords was a major factor in the design of the DS, so we'll have to see how all that plays out.
