Media Create recently listed the top 10 selling console games in Japan for the week of March 21 to March 27th.

Konami's World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 scored a goal with Japanese gamers on the PlayStation 2 as it captured the top spot. Wild Arms: The 4th Detonator for the PlayStation 2 from Sony Computer Entertainment captured second spot, while Nintendo's lovable Kirby captured third with Kirby Canvas Curse for the Nintendo DS.

Several other titles: Shining Force Neo from Sega on the PlayStation 2, BLEACH: Beat the Soul from SCE for the PSP, Egg Monster Hero from Square Enix on the Nintendo DS, Dynasty Warriors 5 from Koei on the PlayStation 2, Phantom Kingdom from Nippon Ichi Software for the PlayStation 2, Bokujo Story: Colobockle Station for the Nintendo DS from Marvelous Interactive and Donkey Kong 3 for the GameCube rounded out the top 10.

World Soccer Winning Eleven sold 240,000 units and Wild Arms sold 131,000 units. The top six titles were all held down by new titles and sales for the weeks top 100 titles tallied around 1.1 million units. Software sales early in the month of March were sluggish, but the end of March saw things pick up quite a bit.

On the hardware side of things several new Nintendo DS colors were launched in Japan and as a result sales of the systems increased.
