Aight... this works if ya rockin a Verizon Wireless phone .. which also supports true tones And can recieve PIX messages.
Get any Mp3 you have on your computer.
Open a sound editing program (Cool Edit or Audition) ...
And crop the Mp3 to about 15 sec long. (this will be your ring tone)
After that ... save your new edited Mp3.
Change the file extension from .mp3 to .mid
Now using any email service (ex: Hotmail or Yahoo)
Email your .mid file to area code + number@vzwpix.com
One you recieve your message. Save the sound and set as ring tone.
And BAM ...
Charges may apply (but are WAY cheaper than downloading tones off real sites)
