      For my Stat Coursework I did a statistical investigation into whether height has an effect on your performance in basketball.. this was in 99/00 so things have changed since then.

      NBA.com provided me with the majority of my statistics.. it was a good project with interesting results.

      That was easy for me though, coz I am a fan of the game..

                ^^mine was A Level.

                NBA.com is FULL of statistics.. I made comparisons with height and points scoring, rebounding, blocks, steals.. took average heights of teams in the playoffs and see if this effected their overall points, rebounds, win/lose ratio

                You can pretty much make comparisons with any stat in basketball and see if height is a factor.

                Dunno about boxing.. just do a google search for "Boxing Statistics". I'm sure it will find you some good info

                  ^^ GCSE stats...... well it doesn't really matter what you to so much as iut would for a level maths... BB or boxing are both good ideas.... one tip... i'm not too sure about the gcse stats syllabus, but where you can add in the PMCC.... always gains loads of marks.

                      Off the top of my head:
                      MPG = miles per gallon...j/k (something) per game
                      FG% = field goal %
                      3p% = 3-pointer %
                      FT% = free throw %
                      OFF = offensive rebounds (I may be wrong)
                      DEF = defensive rebounds (I might be wrong)
                      APG = assists per game
                      SPG = steals per game
                      BPG = blocks per game
                      PPG = points per game
                      The rest I'm not sure of
