The first I ever remember listening to was a 2 live crew tape when I was like 7. Back in the day...we thought we were so cool.

Yeah! Thats my old school shit to me. I was too young to get into Run DMC and Grandmaster Flash. I think i was 11 when chronic came out, i remember i thought it was cool cuz they cussed. man that was a looooong time ago. my taste in rap is so broad now its not even close to what i started off of. I like eveything from the illest hip hop to the grittiest street shit. I dig other genres of music too but nothing like i love rap.

Ya know the more that I think about it, I think that it was MC BREED. No future in yo frontin'. Yeah it was the summer of 8th grade. Or maybe it was Digital Underground, I really didnt consider that rap, I thought it was kinda a joke when I had heard it.

I wasn't really able to get into rap until almost high school b/c my parents hated it. I remember 5th grade and Vanilla Ice, lol, what a joke. It was new kids on the block for me, hey...no hatin on me. Now I definately love listenin' to rap more than anything else. It has changed so much since the late 80's.

I would have to say my first was snoop dogg "DoggyStyle" that cd is off the hook! and hey my moms favorite song is on that cd also. " lody dody we likes to party we dont cause trouble we dont bother no body..." you all get the point! i was 7 when my sis got it and i have been a huge fan ever since. my favorite song would have to be song 12 on the album. i forget the name but it is a horney player song just like me!:D

I believe I was like 8...The first thing I can clearly remember listening to was RUN DMC "Raising Hell". I even used to tape myself rappin' "You Be Illin'". This might not be the first hip hop, but it's the first hip hop I can distinctly remember...peace

My favorite and first rap cd I ever bought was Warren G - Regulate when it first came out, but I had some bullshit tapes back when I was 11 like Kriss Kross and Tag Team, hahaha. First rap I ever heard was Too Short - Life Is Too Short back in 87' when I was like 6, shit shocked me back then aint shit now, hehe.
