  • WuT Tha FuCk Is Up w/AlL ThA WhItE RaPpErS?

Yo, I've been noticing a trend while watching MTV: WhItE RaPpErS (and I obviously ain't talkin about EM). I saw tha "Shaniqua Don't Live Here No More" video by Little T, "Let's Begin (Shoot the *****)" by Bad Ronald, & "It Don't Matter" by Rehab-I don't know if they're white, but they're obviously not black. I dunno, but I think that white rappers might B Bcoming a lot more Pop and I'm not really that excited about it...I mean, I really don't care if rappers R black, white or fuckin purple w/orange stripes just as long as they got dope rhymes and R true lyricists, but if white rappers w/No SkIlL start Bcoming a trend in mainstream music, I'm gonna get pretty pissed...Have any of y'all noticed this 2??

I don't know about Bad Ronald, but they had the DJ from OddJobs(Deetalx) who's down with Slug and Rhymesayers, CMI, so for me that adds lots of cred right there...

White rappers have been here, El-P, Em, Necro, Cage, Everlast, Evidence, Eon, Non Phixion, Copywrite, Slug, Eyedea, Sole, Dose...

If just happens, that Puff, and Timbaland and every producer right now is finding a white boy.

pretty much big record labels are scrambling to find the "next eminem" because of how big eminem's success was. Bad boy got kain, who sucks, timbaland got bubba sparxxx, who I think is dope, and that "shaquina don't live here no more" is fuckin rubbish. Anyway, if all record labels start doing this, it could all backfire right in their face. Ya never know.

white rappers started to become a trend once dre got a hold of eminem...but white rappers have always been in rap even before eminem, it's just that now people find white rappers to be money makers...i also began to notice that a lot of people are putting eminem down since there are a couple of white emcees on the come up...a lot of the ones that i've seen are wak like, haystak, bubba sparx, kain, etc....

well i think it is good that all races are involved in hip hop and have been involved.but gay shit like mother fuckers tryin to be eminem or bringin shit with bling bling that shit is corny. but if they have skills thats the main thing if there ill there ill,and as far as the trend thing goes hopefully not ,just because there white i am white and i have been influenced by both black and white mostly d-12 and eminem cuz i think they the realast.but allot of white kids are getting influenced and that is good but only the ones that have decent skills will be known.and some white kids say" oh well eminem he is white and raps so can i" "or hip-hop is in so i wanna be a rapper". its all a state of mind and you gotta want to and love to do it its a kind of lifestyle, for example if some rich white kid started rapping about how he grew up rich and talked how he was a quarterback or how he was the most popular and had it easy,i meen shit aint nobody wanna hear that hip hop is also something you can realate to.its not taught in schools.peace

Umm, sorry but Rehab is not rap. "It Don't Matter" isn't rap either.
              Peace 5 and 92, you're missed.

Yo no that comment ain't racist i just feel it's a bit ignorant as rap music started of as black music so naturally there is gonna be alot of black artists.

And i thought long and hard about whats going on in rap music videos i don't like the repetition of the videos that cash money and no limit do (plus the fact that they shit lyrically) where they do the same thing buy a bunch of guys and show off how much money they got and have girls in who wouldn't touch them if they weren't rich and famous

But there was a time major music television channels and radio stations wouldn't play rap music let alone show videos

So im happy to let Cash Money and No Limit go on about bling bling as long as they dont expect me to watch them and buy their stuff or even take them seriously

As long as i can still see credible artists like D12, Pharoahe Monch and many more get their videos played

I can understand his point, but he should have phrased it to appear less along racial boudries. I think he meant that a "rap" artist should not receive fame for his/her race but instead on their lyrical merit.

                    White

I noticed this too. There hasn't really been a rise in white rappers, but MTV has started to play a bunch. I guess cuz they refuse to acknowledge Eminem now that GLAAD is all over them. That song "Is Shaniqua there?" SUX!!! That kid can't rap. He looks like Em with a shaved head. And his video direction looks exactly like Em's. The jokes and the camera work are jus' like The Real Slim Shady and My Name Is. But Bad Ronald's video is tight. The whole party theme is sweet. The beats are nice too. And the whole song is about drugs, so it reminds me of Purple Pills. They look like they got a future.

just as evidence is mixed, non phix is also mixed; bill being jewish, sabac being puerto rock/sicilian, and goretex being mexican/jewish...well then again, judaism isn't a race...

Sadly, the kiddies with mixed cultures are probably more respected cause of the fact they're not pure Norwegian, pure Swedish..

I noticed this is a trend too. I think that since Em was successful a lot of record companies are realizing that a white boy can make it big in the rap industry so they're finding white rappers for the sake of them being white, not cuz they got skills. I saw Kain in the Dream remix video but I haven't seen any other white rappers on MTV. Then again I haven't watched it lately either, but was one of them on TRL, that "Is Shaniqua there?" or Bad Ronald or whatever? They played some video I never saw before today but I switched it over to BET cuz they were playing "Area Codes" Oh yeah and isn't Rehab mexican? lol and aren't they part rap?
