i need help building my website (aka html for dummies)

ok does anybody know whaere i can find a comprehensive- and i mean, like easy as hell, toddler-type comprehensive- STEP BY STEP guide to doing just about everything?
im not an idiot or anything, i just never had my own computer til recently, but always wanted a site, i have a host and a domain: its called www.bmorevibe.150m.com, go see it (or at least what there is of it) if u plan to help so u can know where im at.

OH YEAH, and, um, i have made a few pages and cannot load them onto the site properly, whichis my main problem, along with being able to create links on the homepage to other pages.

Ok..... html isn't as hard as it sounds... it's starting off that's hardest... my advice is.. rather than learning the code straight out, which will take you ages and make it hard to construct a full website... i would download 'dreamweaver' and make it in that.. slowly you will start to pick up how the code works and you'll be able to edit... i found it was the easiest way for me.

That's what helped me the most. I was able to design my own website in less than 2 days. Very basic and simple. All HTML.

For anyone who wants an easier start into php i would suggest getting PHPNuke, because starting from scratch is confusing..... with PHPNuke you pick it up as you go along...

but my opinion is that PHP Nuke real sucks
but if u are good enough to edit it you can make it better... much better

ok i started the site; made the pages, links, etc. i tried to upload it to my server and...VOILA! after 2 HOURS of waiting for this thing to retrieve my goddam files: **BING** ERROR: COULD NOT UPLOAD REQUESTED FILE.

my ftp is 150m.com. if anybody could figure out what the heck im doing wrong, OMG help.... the program i ended up usig was this TERRIFIC thing called Cutesitebuilder (it has a Wizard! YaaaaaY!) and its 17,791 KB (could that be the problem? the upload size is "unlimited"...supposedly.) oh lord. i got the friggin thing PERFECT... and then...*sigh*.

im so lost.

maybe the host dont allow you many MB ... and u have 17 MB
but whut the fuck u done there ? I think it is too much ... really too much
to make a 17 mb site. .. it takes over 3 months
Maybe you used a shitty program to create it ?

Try uploading each file at a time... and also look at what type of files you are uploading.. what page extension are you using?

PHP nuke... the site in my signiture is PHP nuke.. i edited it all myself.. and it works wonders!
