well the computer counts the stuff you deleted as deleted, and just writes more stuff over it when u download/copy whatever, it doesnt really kill those 0 and 1s!

I'm not sure how the rest of you reformat your computers, but once I reformat mine, everything is completely gone, not a single trace of 1 single file, hence the original C: hard drive space goes back to 20GB (Yeah I know, it's an older computer, bought it 4 years ago), meaning no files are on it.

^well whipper then u need System Mechanic Pro that uses military technology to erase stuff, they have this thing called INCILATOR or sumthing like that build in and when u send stuff to there and erase it, it completely is unrecovered, and there is this tool that u need a flopy, copy program to there, then you run that program and completely erases your harddrive and its not recoveredable, that is what military uses, so yeah i am about to start website all about stuff like this in couple weeks!

That sounds hot, but what I need to to completely wipe out stuff I hope I deleted from a while ago (if you catch my drift, lol)

It's takes anywhere from 4-6 formats to completely wipe out information.
