Something i have always wondered

lets say some man fakes his death somehow but makes it look like he was murdered and all the clues add up to say you did it...you go to prison for like 20 years...and when you come out you see they guy who put you in prison....are you allowed to kill him?...afterall you already payed the sentance
jus thought i would ask...what would you guys do?

It's the double jeopardy law, you can't be tried twice for the same crime, so yeah you'd get away with it.

Haha, sure, why not. Here in the US, you can't serve time for the same exact crime twice. And since techinically you already served time for killing that very person, I don't see how they could lock you back up for it.

Unfortunately in this country, our government's resident fascist David Blunkett is attempting to do away with the double jeapordy law (as well as the law which prevents defendants having their previous convictions revealed to the court).

If say you killed "John Smith", then the real John Smith would have to attain a new identity and pose as this new person, essentially "become" this new person.. and after 20yrs, would you be killing John Smith or this new person?

on a slightly different angle.. there was this case I learnt when I studied law. A guy took out his wife in the car and beat her "to death". After assuming he'd killed her, he threw her in a river. The autopsy showed that she died from drowning. Was he convicted of murder??

No. The guy assumed that she was already dead and the act of pushing her into the river was therefore not murder. He was convicted of manslaughter and received a much lower sentence.

Thats the UK though, where sentencing is fuckin stupid

Right. I think I too would have to think of a really good way to kill them though. I'd have to make it count, make the person suffer for what they did to me. I'd suffocate them by having a really obese, sloppy, nasty chick sit on the persons face and drop a load. Choking on shit and suffocating in fat lady's ass... what a way to go.

^lmao...the worst torture in the world is meant to be that japanese thing where they tie a person to the ground and then put a water thank above him...and let it leak so a drop of water hits his forehead every minute...its meant to drive them crazy after a while...then afterwards you could do some sick shit like cuttin his ballsack open then throwing salt in the wound. then if your really sick you can do another japanese trick of doing tiny cuts all over the persons body...1,000's of cuts...then leaving them to blead to death...and just before he dies get some hoe to give him a massage with vinegar
