A changed man walked through the door that Thursday night, on his way to the interview room where I would discuss his recent beef with Jada, Fat Joe, Nas and his fall out with The Game. Rap superstar 50 cent, remains standing, after closing the door behind him, pacing up and down. I asked him what was up, before answering "I don saw Nas out in tha parkin lot." (Nas was scheduled for an interview an hour later, but showed early).
"He said he was gonna kill me, and I don't want no more holes in me" 50 says. He then went on, "This has opened my eyes up to a lotta things, you know? I realise what real beef is about, know what i'm sayin? I've seen a real gangster to day, and all the shit I been spraying, it's coming down on me." A paranoid 50 cent mumbles, constantly looking towards the door.I laughed, as though it was a joke, but 50's expression did not change."what, your not serious are you?" I asked.
"Of course I am, mayne, these *****'s is crazy, I aint doin this shit no more. Nas done taught me my ego got the better of me, I just wanna get out of this beef wit a few scratches at least, I just want out - alive. I was lucky to have my homies, man my homies got my back, I'm just glad Nas didn't see me cryin before I walked in here, I was all over Em's shoulder...I wasn't sheddin tears cause I be scared, I was happy to get out of there alive, yo" I left the room, disgusted at the softness of my once favourite rapper 50 cent. But as I left, I heard him shout
"mayne don't leave me here alone! *****'s be crazy! please! (sobs)."
I shut the door.
