Do you guys even read the articles? I'm a big fan of D12 also, and Swift's one of my fav's, but he was arrested on drunk driving charges, and he violated his probationary period twice, testing positive for drugs and shit since then. Then skipping out on his court date, as shitty as it was on Proof's funeral... but it is what it is.

So yeah... anyone else who did this would be in prison for a few years. Swifts lucky he only got 80 some odd days.

I'm still lookin' forward to his album coming out.

dude, if you miss court, you go to jail....

if he would have called the court and told them he had a funeral, they would have rescheduled the case...100 percent sure...

maybe the judge's daughter was the same girl swift was talkin about in "Pimp Like Me" and that's why he put him in jail .

OR MAYBE he was talking about the judge's best friend in "instigator". thats so fucked up!

A day after a warrant was issued for his arrest, D12 member Swift was sentenced yesterday (April 20) to 93 days in jail for violating terms of his probation in a drunken driving case.
As SOHH previously reported, Swift (born Ondre Moore) failed to make a court appearance on April 20 following the funeral of his slain group mate Proof where he was serving as an honorary pallbearer.
Swift was due in court on Wednesday afternoon (April 19) for a hearing which would determine whether he violated terms of his probation stemming from a drunken driving case.
The rapper had been ordered to stay away from drugs and alcohol after pleading guilty last October to an operating a vehicle while visibly impaired charge. Since then, he had tested positive twice for drugs and alcohol and has spent several days in jail.
According to authorities, Swift was found near his Novi, Michigan home and was escorted by police to the court where Judge Mackenzie, who issued the arrest warrant, sentenced him to 93 days in the Oakland County Jail, with 10 days credit for time he previously spent in jail for the same offense.
In related news, Mario Etheridge, the C.C.C. nightclub bouncer who shot and killed Proof after the rapper pistol whipped and shot his cousin, Keith Bender, is expected to attend his preliminary hearing on next Wednesday (April 26).
Etheridge, who is currently in custody after turning himself in a day after the shootout occurred, is charged with two counts of possession of a concealed weapon and discharge of a firearm in a building but not Proof's murder. He plead not guilty to both charges when he was arraigned this past Saturday and is facing up to nine years in prison, if convicted.
    its devils night

    YEP!!!!!

thats gotta be it, no other reasonable explanation. It couldnt be that he was drink driving whilst on parole for other serious driving offences now could it?????

    thats just stupid

the judge clearly has a hatred against eminem and took it out on swift
the court case should be re-visited, swift completely free, the judge jailed and swift given 10 mill for all damages caused

    CURRUPT FUCKIN SYSTEM

    Thats sweet of your father

I don't think the judge had a opinion on this,
I dont know, otherwise he would have give him
the time to come the next day.

Btw, I also would stayed away if my best friend funural was on that day.
A lot of others would have gone to that judge
