  • 4/26-BET Developing Reality Show With DMX

Cable Network BET announced yesterday (April 24) that its new season will include a show called DMX: Soul of a Man. The Hollywood Reporter says that the series will follow DMX, examining the rapper’s troubled personal life. The Yonkers, NY-bred MC has been involved in a myriad of legal problems throughout the years, from crack possession to impersonating a federal agent. He recently left his longtime record label Def Jam for Sony Records, where he will release his upcoming album, Here We Go Again.

Now I know where the writer from the Martin Lawrence movie where he impersonates a cop to steal a diamond got the idea from.

Did he leave Def Jam before Jay was in charge? That would have been an awesome line-up with X on there too.

X actually left because of Jay. He said something along the lines of there business relationship was putting a strain on their friendship, so he got out. Then he went on to support Cam'ron and claimed that they were "like the US and Great Britain, and Def Jam was Iraq". Haven't really heard anymore bout that since.
