lighty makes some good points. at the end of the day, rappers are just people having an opinion. obama is addressing each and everyone who's hating or supporting him. just cause what rappers say reaches the people doesnt deviate from the fact that it is just an opinion.

I don't see why discussing rap is relevant to his political campaign. I agree, it's a way to trivialize his position......

exactly. How is talking about rappers going to help him?

I agree. If I was Obama I'd let whatever rappers do their thing and speak on the election in whatever way they want. Obviously there are some against him but seemingly plenty more in his favour. Without speaking on these these rappers could swing votes his way. Speaking on them only allows for extra criticism from his opponents.

wes did u ever stop to think about the fact that obama constantly talks about "change"

doesen't that scare you at all?

I have a feeling that this guy is a lot more of a socialist than anyone thinks he is right now.
He is trying to appear very conservative but.....how can you be sure you can trust him?

In our community we look for rappers to be a serious voice of the community and stuff....it's not the same as dixie chicks.
That's like saying that they don't matter at all and neither do their fans.
Obama already turned his back on his own church just to help his chances and now u want him to shit on rap too?
false..jeremiah wright had him bacced into a corner to the point where obama had no choice but to leave that church..jeremiah wright's a coon,he should've taken farrakhan's lead and stayed quiet..as far as rap is concerned, mainstream america[particularly those who are already uneasy with the idea of an african-american being their next president] isn't going to be able to relate to hiphop culture the same me or you would..luda's recent "obama joint" is proof of that.

Obama shouldn't pay any attention to these dumb ass rappers...and if these rappers really want Obama to win they should just shut the fuck up...if you're smart enough to at least know that conservatives will use whatever story they can, just shut the hell up...contribute money or sign people up to vote, but don't play into those Fox mind games...
