Hot 97 does not do streams.. Power 105 did before but they had to take it down due to RIAA or something.. So No Streams.

                    What shop is that lexus?

If you care why hot 97 and other stations do not stream any more, read on...

The music industry is trying to get licensed broadcasters to pay additional royalties for streaming music. Real big companies like Clear Channel have stopped their stations from streaming because they are afraid when the litigation ends that they will have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional royalties.
Personally , I do not believe the music industry can win. Here's why. The federal government was given jurisdiction over radio and broadcasting (FCC Act of 1934) to "protect the airwaves." The precedent was that the "airwaves" were a public resource like rivers and waterways and the government needed to insure that they were utilized in the public good. Broadcasting, which comes from the archaic term for throwing seeds into a feed, uses those airwaves and hence radio stations and tv stations have to be licensed. In other words, not everybody can just throw up a transmitter and broadcast. The licenses are assigned to geographic locations, specifying frequency and power (or basically the reach of the station).
Internet does not use the airwaves. There has been no precedents inviting the federal government to regulate the internet beyond interstate commerce. In fact, the growth of the Internet is greatly attributed to the fact that it is a "free market" economy. Even the content of websites has sort of gone under the radar screen of regulation --- look at the current failure of restrictions on keeping porn and gambling sites out of public places like libraries. So the music industry will not win this litigation. They would have to 1) prove internet streaming is broadcasting in the legal sense and 2) that they are injured by say WAIC playing a song they have purchased the broadcast rights too (impossible, they are already being paid, having the song on the internet promotes the song, etc). They have been rebuffed in another lawsuit that was going to use copyright law but essentially there case there was we have something like "we sold you a dress, and now we want to charge you for wearing it to the prom."

I hope somebody found that helpful, I only knew that cause we are trying to get our college station back to streaming!

i got this from a rock station here in Wisconsin....it's about their streaming radio, and might give u more of an understanding on the whole situation...

The U.S. Copyright Office recently issued a ruling concerning on-line music royalties. This means that Internet music broadcasters, like WJJO, are now responsible for paying thousands of dollars each year in copyright royalties. These fees along with near impossible accounting requirements make it fiscally impossible to continue to offer this service.

For example, if 10,000 people were listening to WJJO on-line right now, the next song would cost us $7.00 to play. With music 'round the clock that adds up to over $2,000 a day or just under three quarters of a million dollars a year!

Broadcasting our signal over the Internet generates no additional revenue for the station. If an affordable copyright plan had been adopted, you'd continue to be able to hear WJJO on the Internet.

To learn more about this unfortunate situation and to relay your feelings to Washington, check out this web site which has more information on the subject http://saveinternetradio.org

there is no ruling as of yet, it is still up in the air. But stations like that are affraid they will have to pay royalties so they are not even gonna risk it.
