Busta Rhymes signs with Dr. Dre.
It's official. According to mixtape king, DJ Vlad, Busta Rhymes has left J-Records and moved on to greener pastures with Dr. Dre at Aftermath Records. Dr. Dre will executive produce and oversee Busta's next untitled album scheduled for early 2005.
This is Busta's second label move in three years, first leaving Elektra in 2000 after disappointing sales on his Anarchy album and signing with Clive Davis at J Records in 2001. The move was just in time for Busta, with his mentor Clive Davis moving on to bigger pastures this month as chairman and chief executive of Arista's parent, BMG North America.
