That's a strange comment, but here's what I'll say: I prefer his album to Eminem's by FAR. I don't think he's a better lyricist than Em, but it might seem that way to you because he covers more subject matter and says more important things?

If he rapped about his family dysfunction and how misunderstood he is for a whole album, I think you'd feel Em is a better lyricist. Overall statement goes a long way.

Those lyrics don't sound like Kweli's to me. That is heresay. Considering how autobiographical his album is, I am gonna say he wrote it until I see some evidence to the contrary.....

In fact, one of the first things that struck me about his rapping is that he didn't sound like anybody else to me, which totally surprised me and took me off guard, as I had only seen him as a producer.....I think he wrote his album.

well he definitely is a better producer than eminem...not a better lyricist though...eminem's flow, wordplay exceeds kanye's...kanye seems to be a rapper that is still learning...he's still nice though but not better than eminem...


i don't know about the ghostwriting rumor, but i know kanye did say that talib helped him out with rapping as far as flows and wordplay...he said that in an interview i think...
