Post all of Em's lines that made you go WTF and made you rewind. Here verses and lines that made me rewind:
"We All Die One Day" Verse-If I had to pick the top 10 illest Em verses of all time this would be on there. No disrespect to Obie but Em made everyone on that track look bad.
"Role Model" 1st Verse-When I first heard that I was like
I had a lost of words. This is the song, well the whole SSLP got me to step my own lyrics up.
"97 Bonnie and Clyde"-The way Em spit it as if he were talking to his daughter while saying all of this crazy stuff was just sick.I had "97 Bonnie and Clyde" on repeat for like 2 hours when I 1st bought the SSLP last year.I loved everything about that song.
"If I Get Locked Up Tonight"-I've heard this beat in a radio commercial back in 1999 and I wasn't really feeling it.I thought it was weak. Then earlier this year when I found out that was a Em song I checked it out.Em's lyrics really made the beat better and his delivery. The line that had me rewinding was "Hip Hop is so universal now/It's like a bunch of circus clowns are up in the circuit now" Em's multies and his rhymes were nice then. That's exactly how I feel about rap now.
"Haile's Song" last verse-It wasn't lyrical or anything like that, but the way he worded everything was perfect. He had the multies, flow, words, plus the beat got emotional and went along with the lyrics.I thought that was cool.
"Still Don't Give A Fuck" 1st Few Bars-that "Hop in the limo, shoppin' a demo at gun point" line was brillant. He showed the hunger of a rapper on the come up.Even when Em's stuff is crazy(Role Model) he always has a little bit of truth in it you have to find.
