  • Eminem & Eminem Haters.

A lot of people keep talking about how em fell off and how he'll never be as good, but to be honest i doubt very much that an emcee can suddenly just turn rubbish overnight.

We seem to forget he has had a lot of things happen recently, and although comments about him falling off have have circulated since Encore, i personally would put it down to him experimenting a little too much and as a result a bit of inconsistency in both style and quality of his music.

If he WANTED i don't doubt for a second that his upcoming album could be a classic and chances are if anything lets it down at all it will either be the amount of songs that he wrote/recorded in no time at all with less than average production rather than his lack of ability and skill.

I wish people would just stop hating on eminem right now, i am looking forward to his next album. I bet a lot of the haters actually have his music on their PC or own some of his albums.

Oh, and what is happening with the Proof track he is meant to of recorded, reckon we will see that on the new album?
i got 99 problems, and one this dumb kid,
mcvikar man, all his songs shit,
how you gossiping, you need friends bitch,
    i'd rather co-sign midwestwitch,

I agree with you. People are killing him just because of one CD. I think he will come back and so far The Re-Up is doing pretty good. To me, Encore was like his funny CD, the Slim Shayd LP was his drug CD, the Marshall Mathers LP was his mad CD, and the Eminem Show was his personal CD. Just because Encore wasn't about doing drugs or sex doesn't mean it isnt good. UI think people want that. Not disrespecting them though. People are different.

although everyone will agree there are some nice tracks on encore he did experiment too much in my opinion in terms of the way he sounded (my 1st single, big wheenie, crazy in love). I prefered the way he rapped on the eminem show, he sounded more or less the same throughout the album therefore he didn't have to change the lyrics in order to fit in with the sound of his voice. But people who say he's fell off are just stupid, just because he experimented/switched flow people think he has fell off.

I agree there have been a few songs which people say havn't been good enough like fack (which I thought was funny) and my ballz but there are so many good songs he's done since encore which have been fire imo and people have ignorned, here's a few:

Emulate ft obie trice, anger managment, we ain't ft game, verse on there they go, welcome to detriot city ft trick trick, you don't know, no apologies, public enemy No 1; these are some of the top of my head and I'm sure there's more.

At the moment I don't care what he brings out, any em music is better than none imo.

Poor Eminem. It must be a devastating crossroads in ones life when the only thing people can talk about them in terms of thier career is about how they "fell off."

We talk about him fucking "falling off" 30 times a damn day.

Eminem just experimented with different styles. Imagine if Encore wasn't released in 2004, and we never saw Curtain Call or Re-Up...and a couple months ago Eminem made his return with one CD instead of dividing it up with 3 and had an album like this (which I bump as my personal Encore)

          1.) Curtains Up (Skit)
          2.) Evil Deeds
3.) Never Enough (Feat. Nate Dogg & 50 Cent)
          4.) Paul (Skit)
          5.) Like Toy Soldiers
          6.) Mosh
          7.) Puke
8.) Jimmy Crack Corn (Feat. 50 Cent)
9.) Intermission (Intro from Curtain Call)
10.) Shake That (Feat. Nate Dogg)
          11.) You Don't Know (Feat. 50 Cent & Lloyd Banks & Cashis)
          12.) Em Calls Paul (Skit)
          13.) Just Lose It
          14.) Ass Like That
15.) Spend Some Time (Feat. Obie Trice & Stat Quo & 50 Cent)
          16.) Mockingbird
          17.) Crazy In Love
          18.) No Apologies
          19.) When I'm Gone
          20.) One Shot 2 Shot (Feat. D-12)
          21.) Final Thought (Skit)
22.) Encore (Feat. Dr. Dre & 50 Cent) (Curtains Close)

He's put many hits out. If instead of putting one solo album of almost all funny shit, he just released one album, people would NOT be saying he fell off. He just experimented.

I re-read an XXL interview from 2005 and he was asked about Encore. He basically said what most people don't seem to get. How he had his serious and lyrical songs (mosh, never enough, evil deeds, yellow brick road, like toy soldiers, spend some time, mockingbird) and he wanted to balance it out with experimenting with his flow and other creative aspects of his songs (big weenie, rain man, ass like that, etc.)...but he was saying, if you take those songs for what they are, you can understand what he's doing and what his aim was. I mean, ass like that, which isn't supposed to be lyrical, is taking a huge spin and flipping the normal sex song idea around . He's supposed to be rapping and talking as a puppet...I mean, who does that? it's shit like that where most people say he fell off. but theres a difference between falling off and being bored with trying to prove you're lyrical abilities.

If you don't accept the fact that Encore was a result of being bored with being serious and doing the normal thing, than you can appreciate it more. I'm not no fuckin groupie. I've been a fan of this dude ever since he came out. Like someone said, a skilled dude doesn't just lose his skill, but he evolves and tries new things, which is what he's been doing all along since 1998. Most people were liking his shit on The Re-Up when it first came out (or leaked), but now their saying it wasn't anything special...The only reason people hate are because their comparing a great rapper to his own older work...that doesn't make sense because nobody writes or thinks the same as they did 7 years before.

If Em came back with some Slim Shady shit, people would hate on him anyways saying that his fictional shit is getting old. Basically, no one will ever be satisfied unless you try and understand the situation he's in, and also the fact that, most importantly, he's HUMAN.

Eminem is a victim of his own brilliance not sucess(him 2 though).Let me put it this way i like the game but he is as 1 dimensional as a straight line lyrics are at best average(not even in ems league)and yet his fans think his new album is a classic.Eminem fans however have been dissin encore since it hit the shelves because he tried to flip it any style we wanted(because only he can)and it backfired.I Must admit to liking encore barring big weenie and skits i often play right through and cant find what all the fuss is about.I do prefer a more aggressive eminem aka shady and if his new album is called mental release i think its safe to say shadys back but for now i have 4 albums 2 with d12 1 compilation a greatest hits and loads of other songs to keep me goin till then.

I understand why some poeple hate on him, he was the shit once then he made encore whch I agree was slighly experimental but still not good

But he can make some good music still, and he will prove it

I like Encore for some reason I thought his lyrics where still tight just his voice was gay and he wasnt serious enough. He will never top his first 3 cd's i dont think anyone will ever top his 3 cd's.
