Better Overall Rapper/Artist : Ja Rule vs Lloyd Banks

*In your opinion*... Who is the better artist? Ja Rule or Lloyd Banks?

Note that I said Artist, no Lyricist, because that is PART of being an overall better MC.

My Vote? Ja Rule. Better voice (even though he sounds like a dying horse), flow, he's more consistant than Banks (meaning, he doesn't pump out a nice song, then drop a shitty album), and he has better things to rap about (other than how 'fly' he is, or how he's gangsta, which seems to be the only thing Banks raps about).

Banks by far. Ja Rule could make some good songs but that doesn't make him lyricaly good. Banks is far from great or even one of the best but he is a good artist lyricaly and he could make some good music.

banks was so fuckin nice on mixtapes..but his cd isn't(just like cass')..ja speaks about real shit...banks aint said shit about love,politics,family..none of the real issues..his punchlines are killer..but u need more then that in my eyes

I can't really say I'm a big fan of either but I got to go with Ja Rule. I go with Ja because of the fact that he is very good at what he does. He set out to make tracks that everyone can enjoy in clubs, and done it very well and sold alot of records, fair play to him. To my knowledge Banks set out to be a hard battle-orientated emcee and was average, and now makes tracks that contradict his previous style.

Lloyd Banks has got skills but he's relys too much on his metaphors, he lacks variety which is something Ja has.

I say Banks is better. I really didn't think Hunger for More was that bad, although it definitely could have been better.
