  • How have your music tastes changed within the last year?

the shit i listen to changed a lot....i use to listen to whole lot more nas, outkast, gang starr, and wu-tang, but not so much recently. i still like all those rappers, i just dont play their albums that often. and a year ago i didnt listen to that much underground besides jedi mind tricks, canibus, masta ace, and immortal technique. i've listened to a hell of a lot more underground since then, and now im mostly bumping sage francis, atmosphere, murs, and anticon shit. and i jumped the bandwagon and started listening to a lot of indie rock too within the last year.

yes... a year ago you could asked me who canibus was and i woulda said "a fag that eminem doesnt like".... now i listen to his shit a bunch along with some other shit like immortal tech, atmosphere, tech n9ne, and some other underground shit that i didnt like before. i still listen to the same ol' eminem, nas, g-unit, 50 cent, d12, and whatnot, but my variety has greatly widened in the last year.

i switch what i listen to almost monthly, and it dosent allways stay in the rap genera, all last summer i was really into like the beatles and pink floyed, from like 2 years i hated anything but underground, and once people started bumbing underground i went to mainstream, thats about when i registered on this board. now im kind of in canadian hip-hop feel right now, just got 6 canadian artists cd yesterday. but the weeks early so who knows what ill be into next

I didnt kno who canibus was like 7 months ago, and i use to love g unit, nelly, chingy, eminem and my fave was j-kwon. Now i cant stand them *****z and i listen to 95% underground. It all began when i listened to Kweli - Rush. I fuckin fell in love with it, and found out he was underground, decided to check out more underground, and next thing you kno, rap was saved for me. so the answer is yes, it changed a lot

I actually started to like mainstream music a little more. Don't get me wrong, I still love underground, but I gotta expand my tastes in music.

man just give it some time... its way to early to say that. just cause you liked that bright eyes album doesnt mean hip hop is gonna be worse than rock in 2005. this year might actually be better than 04 for hip hop considering immortal technique, canibus, chino xl, and jus allah are all dropping albums.
