generally speaking, i tend to focus on myself and people that i know without getting into anybody else's business, but i agree with Chuck D...if you want to break down snitching, it's just about protecting the identity of a criminal or someone who did a criminal act...that's all it's about...you can use it to describe more mundane and less serious events, but it essentially is meant to protect criminals...unless you're a criminal, i don't see why you would protect another criminal...of course, sometimes you have to weigh out your options...if you do "snitch," is this person dangerous enough that they could harm you or your family? is it worth it to speak to the authorities about this person?

if you're in a situation where you might have to "snitch" on somebody, that person in question isn't even worth protecting; that person should be wiped off of the face of the planet for making things tougher on other people...it's a hood thing that is very detrimental to the neighborhood...

i think that anybody who firmly believes in the idea of "stop snitching," has really forfeited his or her right to speak on behalf of people in the hood, at least from a positive perspective...it's really comical: a lot of these rappers will talk about how the government doesn't give a fuck about them or the hood and then in the same breath talk about "stop snitchin'"...it's a neverending tragic comedy...

Chuck D from Public Enemy: Start Snitchin!

In an interview on Stereo Warning, Chuck D from Public Enemy says rappers who preach the stop snitching message are protecting a cancer inside the hood. So, anyone ready to start snitchin?
