if anybody is interested in the SJU show, here's the info...i was hoping it'd be Saturday the 24th, won't be able to make it on the 23rd...as expected Haraya is behind it and as expected, they're getting some r&b bullshit in there (Ryan Leslie)...

never had a problem getting tickets before for bigger artists like Clipse and D-Block...the only issue is figuring out which organzation is behind the show and go straight to them...

but then again, they might put a big name on the bill along with J. Cole (they had Ne-Yo there a couple of years back and that shit was packed)...i stopped going to these shows years ago, because it seemed like every year the lineup kept getting worse and also kept deviating from rap to reggae and r&b...

i think the '06 show had Papoose and Elephant Man, and that's when i said 'fuck this'...i wouldn't be surprised if J. Cole is the only decent artist for that show...

i wonder if that's Haraya doing the SJU show? i might go to that...tickets to the SJU show would be purchased on campus, but i'm not sure which organization is behind it...when i was going there, Haraya did all the spring hip hop shows...

    J.Cole Headlines College Tour

New Roc Nation artist J Cole is heading out on tour. Starting on March 30th, the newly signed Jay-Z artist will hit up S.O.B.'s of New York (New York) for Hot 97's "Whos Next" show (which happens to be sold out already, sorry) then he heads to Virgina for two shows, D.C., Florida, back to Virgina, Georgia, then New York for two more shows.
J Cole will hit up Jersey and then Ohio, New York again, then make stops in MD, CT and finish up New Jersey at Rutgers on April 30th, ending his first college tour. During the tour, Cole will be finishing up his debut album, which will be releaesd through Jay-Z's Roc Nation label.
In related news, Cole, the new Roc Nation artist, recently talked about touring with Jay-Z and improving his on-stage skills. Cole says that Jay-Z helped him get confidence while performing for more than 20,000 people at a time. "As the tour went on, I got way more comfortable, I learned a lot about doing shows and why Jay-Z is able to do shows," Cole told radio personality DJ Whoo Kid. "I learned pretty much from him that confidence is everything. If you feel like you deserve to be up there, which of course he does, he feels like that, it shows and all the minor stuff you used to worry about like what kind of hand movements am I supposed to do, all that goes out the window when you got the confidence like 'Yo, I deserve to be up there, people came to see me.' So it's really treating it like that. I used to worry about performing like, 'Ah man, I'm trying to please every side of the crowd,' like make sure they gettin' love, they gettin' love, Jay just plays wherever he wants. If he wants to play the center for the whole verse, he'll do that. And all that comes from confidence, when you feel you deserve to be up there."
