I was wondering if anyone was interested in hearing a CD I just got. It's from a group called Mood based out of Cincinnati [home to Hi Tek as well]. Anyway, the groups emcees are Main Flow and Donte w/ Jahson workin the beats. Mood debuted in 1997 and was critically acclaimed, and highly underated at the same time. The Source magazine praised them as the best new hip hop group of 1997. The album is called Doom and it's amazing, probably one of the better albums of the 90s. Hi Tek shares the production and blesses over half the lp's tracks; Talib Kweli also spits on 3 songs.

Thank God... a thread which (potentially) offers a link AND some background information on the artist

This is the kind of thing I'd like to see more of.

And yes, I would be very interested in hearing this album.

Slim Shady EP was released February 23, 1999. that's 2 years.

2 Live Crew’s "Nasty As They Wanna Be" was one of the first albums to bear the warning sticker. Best known for its hit "Me So Horny," 2 Live Crew’s "Nasty" also became the first album to be declared legally obscene. Artists ranging from Sinead O’Connor to Motley Crue spoke in defense of the rappers and their right to free speech.

I would check it out as well. Is it the same Main Flow that recently released hip hopulation or another person with the same name? If its him, I saw him at the JMT concert when it came out here. I would definitely check it out though.

As for parental advisory stickers, I think Ice-T was the first to be honored with one of 'em.
