This group, I can name a ton of people who love this group to death, and another ton of people who hate them with a passion.

What is your opinion on these guys?

I really don't have all of their albums, I used to have most on my ipod. I can't listen to that sort of screaming for a long time before I have to turn it off. But, if I'm really in the mood, I can love their music.

I think that their newest album will be the most popular, and is probably my favourite one so far. They finally allow themselves to sing more slowly, even having a real slow song that of course, was awesome. Although, they chose the harder version of the song to release as the single.

For those who don't know which song I mean, I'm talking about "Vermillion". I'd suggest this album to anyone who may dislike Slipknot and find themselves willing to give them another chance. Before this, the slowest song you could hear by anyone affiliated with Slipknot was Stone Sour's song, "Bother" which is a great song.

What is your take on these guys and the type of music they do?

Is it even music at all? or just Noise?

I hate this kind of rock. All they do is bang on the drums, play 1 chord off the guitar, and scream into the microphone. It's just a bunch of noise to me, I could do it if I really wanted to.

I don't really like them much... but I gotta say I love-love-love "Eyeless"! Plus "Duality" has one of the best drum-patterns ever.

I liked their first album

Slipknot - Slipknot (self titled). But since than I don't listen to them too much.

Maggot bitches not really but they are my favorite metal band and Subliminal Verses is my favorite album of last year by leaps and bounds!! I hate the masks but Corey Taylor is amazing with vocals only rock songer I like better is James Maynard who of course represents the best rock band right now imo Tool and A perfect Circle. I saw them at Ozfest this year on the second stage and talk about energy they don't hold back anything one of the best live performances I have seen.

Yeah, I like Slipknot. The Subliminal Verses was a great CD. I think it was much better than IOWA or whatever their second CD was called. But still, the first one is better... Well, the second one if you count "Tattered and Torn" (I think that is what it is called... Something along those lines) but nobody really knows about that CD.

But everyone should check out Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses. Even those that don't listen to rock.
