Who else here is/was a big fan of this group back when they were still around?

I must admit, I did not get into them until after they were already broken up. I wasn't a big fan of the band Billy Corgan formed afterwards or his solo cd either. But, I'm glad to hear they've reunited and are working on a new album.

So, who else here was a fan of theirs back in the day? I'm still unable to pick my favourite album by them. Everyone of them has something to offer.

ive always been a huge fan... im glad you're into them tho.. whether it be sooner or later... they're a great band with incredible songs... some people hate billy corgans voice, but i dont mind it.. i love Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness

Great group and can put together some good songs, Everybody in the group holds their own pretty well..one of my top bands.

Yes, I'm definately a fan of Corgan's lyrics.. he's more of a poet then anything else in my opinion.

At first, I was put off slightly by his voice, but it really grew on me, and he's great at softer, slow songs.

Siamese Dream is a brilliant album. I'm definitely looking forward to new material, but I'm a little nervous regarding the assumption that this is a true reunion.

Apparently, Corgan and Chamberlin are the only verified members of the band. If Iha and Wretzky aren't involved, you could probably say this is more of continuation of 'Zwan' (short-lived indie band put together by Corgan and Chamberlin in 2001.) If that is the case, I will be disappointed. The Smashing Pumpkins left a unique legacy as one of the premiere bands of the 1990s. They have a lot to live up to and I hope the four of them return to exceed those expectations.

We'll see what happens.

But, they just never comfirmed or verified that they were back on board. Though, they could be. I don't imagine D'arcy returning, but James Iha still could.

I'll just be hopeful and won't cross out the possibility of all four being back together,

thats how i feel about most of their stuff...its a lot of hit or miss..but they still got some good tunes..

Melon Collie has is moments, as well as Siamese Dream, I actually perfer the greatest hits album. Its solid

All I have is their Greatest Hits but I like it a lot. My favorites are probably Tonight Tonight and Disarm.

I got two albums, Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. I liked Corgans solo album though, well I expected better.
